All in all - had a nice 2 night stay. The staff was outstandingly accommodating & affable. Particularly good location - a few steps away from everywhere we needed. We dined at an excellent nearby restaurant with Japanese dishes.

Location! Only a two minute walk to the beach.
No air conditioning (hey, I know it's the beach) But it was hot the day I was there. Maybe a small window air conditioner should be considered. Also, there weren't any local channels on the tv.

Right on the beach.
The rooms have no phone, bed is the worst of the worst motel you ever slept at. Seems that the neighborhood caters mostly to homeless panhandlers than to tourists. Felt like It would be easy to score some crack if I wanted too... We had problems with other tenants being noisy (hanging out for hours drinking, and talking super loud right outside the window, day and night, exacerbated by not having AC in the rooms, forcing you to keep your windows open at night in the summer. Recomended if you are a young group who has very low standards and wants to party, not if you just want to enjoy the beach and sleep in a reasonable bed in a cheap hotel.

We took our bikes and loved the bike trail. The Beach is beautiful and the sound of the pounding surf could be heard from our room at night. Lots to do - from biking, walking, jogging, surfing, skate boarding. Great restaurants, shopping and nightlife. Super location - great price!
Lack of nightstands on both sides of the bed in unit # 8

The price and location, right on the boardwalk. Great for a low budget.
The room could use a fan. The bed was very uncomfortable, we could feel all of the box springs.

It was just a suitable option for a fleeting moment in San Diego with good value. The housekeeping staff did a great job with cleaning when they did come. Be aware that parking is limited and may cost extra.

We had an amazing time enjoying the partial ocean view room with a cozy patio for our morning coffee. The fantastic shampoo and conditioner they provided! The beach access was great for relaxing, with lovely spots to soak up the sun and the sound of the waves. A bit of a bummer was that the hot water was only lukewarm a couple of times, but it didn’t ruin our fun! 🌊
